Every year, APEV organizes technical training for metal enamelling. This is theoretical training provided over 2 days including an afternoon and a morning of technical presentations, followed by a factory visit. Aimed at employees in the sector of activity, craftsmen and artists, or anyone interested in this subject, the training aims to better know and understand the process of enameling all metal substrates, surface preparation, manufacturing of the vitreous enamel, including application and firing techniques. Regulatory aspects are also addressed, such as the food safety of culinary objects, the conformity of equipment in contact with drinking water, as well as environmental obligations whose requirements constitute everyday challenges for each activity. In a few words, a consistent technical program but also a moment of exchange and an opportunity to discover enamelling in other fields of activity and to exchange with water heater manufacturers, vitreous enamel manufacturers, culinary pottery, household appliances, architectural and signage panels, equipment manufacturers, custom enamellers and sector consultants. Trainees find answers to their questions through the different modules and also discover common problems through exchanges of experiences and transposable solutions. It is also a place where enamel can be discovered differently, through artistic vitreous enamel, for the greatest pleasure of all, with luxury jewelry or other creations, carried by the Maison de l’émail and its artists A rich and informative program, for professionals or amateurs, all in a friendly atmosphere around this material that fascinates us, vitreous enamel ! “La Maison de l’Émail (MDE) is a 1901 law association which maintains and develops the metal enamelling activity in Morez. Created in 1999 on the initiative of Michel Coignoux, it is a unique place in France.
