APEV, Association for the Study of Vitrified Enamel created in 1970, brings together professionals in the enamel sector to develop knowledge of the material and develop its promotion. The grouping of members under the APEV umbrella opens up possibilities for exchange between manufacturers. APEV organizes training cycles and annual seminars. APEV sits on the AFNOR A05AG commission Corrosion and protection of metallic materials – Metallic and inorganic coatings and as such participates in the drafting of standards in the field of enamelling. APEV is also represented on the European committee CEN TC262/WG5 Vitrified Enamels and on the international committee ISO TC107/WG2 Vitrified Enamels. This commitment by the association guarantees its members normative monitoring as close as possible to the needs, essential to the quality of manufacturing and consumer protection.
